Fundraising at School
Schools can play an important role in fundraising for The Pepper Foundation. Children have a strong desire to support charities and help others and children living in Herts and Bucks are no exception. Pepper has received some magnificent support from local children and their teachers.
School charity projects can be as creative and inventive as you want to make them. Designing a charity project can help teach children the value of doings things for others and giving of themselves and are well worth the effort.
We have plenty of ideas for children of all ages and would be delighted to visit local schools to give a presentation on the work of the Pepper nurses. Or if you would prefer to give your own assembly we can provide you with information and advice about us to help with your preparation.
How schools can help
- Consider picking Pepper as your Charity of the Year. We can work with the school to put together a calendar of fundraising events which would be enjoyed by all age groups.
- Organise a collection at your Christmas concert or end of year assembly
- Arrange a sponsored event such as a spellathon, walkathon or readatho. Don't forget to encourage sponsors or donors to Gift Aid their donation.
- Hold a non-uniform day or Onesie Wednesday and dress in Pepper colours (pink and purple)
