Volunteers are an integral part of our organisation and support our service not only by offering much needed time, but also by bringing a range of skills and experience with them. We can't describe a typical volunteer – there's no such person. Everyone has their own individual reason for volunteering but each has a real passion for the work we do. Volunteers bring new ideas and generous amounts of time and enthusiasm.
Whilst you can make a real difference as a volunteer, it is not just about what you can do for others, you will also get a lot out of the experience too.
If you have never previously thought about volunteering but find you have some time on your hands we offer a wide range of activities, from lending a hand at a fundraising event to helping with administration tasks in the Pepper office. Whatever your skills, we've got a role for you including:
- Marshalling at sponsored walks and runs
- Catering support at outside events
- Santa collections in local villages
- Providing support at our annual musical events
- database inputting and administrative support
- Consider joining our Board of Trustees or Pepper Events Board
How much time do I need to give?
Different roles require different levels of commitment. We will do our best to find a suitable role to fit in with the time you have available. So please do give us a call to have a chat through the amount of time you can spare and what skills you feel you have to offer.
Get in touch!
If you'd like to get involved but you're not sure how to, please tell us a bit more about yourself and we'll see what we can do. Please contact Donna Hughes on 01442 507324 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for an informal chat. We will discuss your interests and skills and aim to match your skills with the needs of The Pepper Foundation.
