Andrew Hazel's Atlantic Coast Challenge
From 6th to the 8th October, Pepper supporter, Andrew Hazel will be taking part in the Atlantic Coast Challenge - running 3 marathons in 3 days!
Now in its 13th year it is the more windswept and, some might say, interesting younger sibling of the Jurassic Coast Challenge. The route starts near Padstow and finishes at Lands End and Andrew will have to complete up to 78.6 miles (3 marathons) over 3 days by walking, running or crawling, pitting his mental and physical prowess against some of the wildest coastline in Britain.
There is some reward for all his physical endeavours of course (apart from the fact that he will receive his very own Pepper supporter medal). Every Atlantic Coast finisher receives a Cornish Pasty, so it's worth running all that way just for that!
He will encounter steep climbs and descents that will test his concentration as well as his strength. Each day is unique with it's own individual challenges and famous landmarks to add to the experience. Trail Race Race Terrain - 127KM / 79Miles - 3 Days - 300 Runners. Everyone at Pepper is proud that Andrew is one of them!
Andrew, who is Head of Food Operations UK for Splendid Restaurants, Absurd Bird and Jack & Alice is a fantastic Pepper supporter, along with his family, having organised a quiz night, a 6 a side football match and a two day sausage sizzle to raise funds for the children's service (and that's just this year!). Please support him and and help him reach his goal!
He has set up his own fundraising page with Just Giving and every donation, no matter how small, will let him know that people are behind him, and willing him on.
Please do what you can.
