On Yer Bike Mike is cycling from The Cavern Club to Tring - well virtually!

Mike O'Gorman is planning to support Pepper and the children's hospice at home nursing team by raising 10 days’ worth of funding in one weekend!

Mike is going to static cycle the equivalent distance from The Cavern Club in Liverpool, (home of the Beatles and Sgt Pepper), to Tring. It’s approximately 185 miles and this dovetails quite nicely with the average cost per day of a children’s nurse.  He plans to start his cycle on the evening of Friday, June 22nd at Pound Meadow, Tring, when The Pepper Foundation has a fundraising concert featuring The Dung Beatles and The Pepper Singers (If you love Beatles music played the way the Fab Four intended then The Dung  Beatles are for you).  He will rest overnight before static cycling  again throughout Saturday, June 23rd, Tring Carnival Day.

Mike will use a stationary bike, a static trainer and a little bit of Bluetooth technology to measure distance, all kindly sponsored by Mountain Mania, Tring, (A big thank you Mountain Mania!).

If you plan to be in Tring for the Dung Beatles concert on 22nd June (follow the link above for ticket information) or for the Carnival, then you may like to help Mike achieve his goal by throwing some change into his bucket.  Or you can pledge your support in advance by visiting his dedicated fundraising page here

Mike feels passionately about the work of the nursing team and will give his all to raise as much as he can.  If you can help by giving a little, it will help a lot.

You can also see Mike on stage in the Pepper Show in July.  Yes 'On yer Bike Mike' can sing as well as static cycle!

The Pepper team wishes you the very best of luck with your Sgt Pepper themed challenge.....so on yer bike Mike.
